Happy Sunday!

A low-pressure system stalled out over Arizona continues to draw wrap-around moisture into our area with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible again today. So far most areas have received around a foot of snow in the Big Bear Valley, with over a foot across eastern areas. We are not entirely done with this storm as additional moisture will bring precipitation off & on this weekend, possibly lingering into next week. Another disturbance rounding the low will track southward through the area today for partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered snow showers, even some thundersnow is possible during the afternoon. Highs in the mid to upper 30's with northerly winds 10-15 mph at times. The snow level will remain above 5,000 feet with a few inches of snow possible. Precipitation will taper off a bit tomorrow as the low moves east into New Mexico. However, forecast models now retrograde the low back westward into our area early next week. This may bring enough moisture and instability for a chance of afternoon showers through Tuesday or Wednesday. Highs will climb back into the 50's next week while overnight lows drop into the 20's and 30's. Conditions should dry out by the middle and end of the week with more unsettled weather possible next weekend. When traveling to the mountains during the winter months, be prepared for hazardous winter weather driving conditions, always plan ahead, and carry tire chains.

Have a great day! Check back daily for your Getboards snow report.
