Happy Tuesday 5/8/25 Getboards Opens 10am
As high pressure strengthens across the area, temperatures will increase with near-record heat expected this weekend in many areas, the exception being the mountains. Though we will still be running 10-15 degrees above average, our first taste of summer-like weather. Looking at clear blue skies out there today as highs reach the 60s, east winds 5-15 mph at times. Temperatures will make it in the 70s on Friday, even nearing 80° on Saturday, but we'll likely fall just short. Overnight temperatures will also remain mild with lows in the 30s to the 40s. A weak offshore flow will generate easterly winds 5-15 mph at times, turning southwesterly during the afternoons over the weekend. High pressure will buckle next week in response to an approaching trough. This will lead to cooler weather and gusty west winds during the afternoons, but no precipitation is expected at this time.
