2017 Rome Artifact Rocker Snowboard
Our Freepop flat rocker profile armed with glass HotRods keeps this super flexible park killer very poppy for ollies into and out of tricks. Flat between the feet, this board is balanced, tweakable, and stable on edge. Rockered in the noise and tail, it locks into presses, butters effortlessly, and lets you land creative stuff super comfortably. Rebound Sidewalls fight back against abuse. Technology
Free Pop Rocker: A rockered nose and tail that meets a flat mid-body to create a responsive and fun all-terrain camber profile. The flat camber is stable and solid under foot, while the rocker in the nose and tail add buttery playfulness. To give our rocker more kick, we add tech like Bamboosters or TurboRods to help create boards that add power and response to freestyle and pow terrain. Hoss turns, float when it’s deep and ride everything with a stable, responsive feel.
TECH FOR POP, STRENGTH AND FEEL
HotRods—Glass Single Barrel: A tube of glass adds a more dynamically poppy flex than flat glass fibers
Rebound Sidewalls: For boards that see a lot of action landing on rails, boxes and whatever else you can jib, we created an impact friendly sidewall to help stand up to abuse. Using an elastic compound material that absorbs impact better and provides increased strength to help ride away from everything.
Stomp Core Matrix: 100% wood core with additional impact resistant wood in high impact areas to increase dampening and strength.
StraightBiax Carbon Laminate: This laminate takes the freestyle-oriented flex of 90-degree biaxial fibers and adds in longitudinal carbon strips that increases ollie power without any unwanted overall stiffness.
Impact Base: This base is designed for riders who don’t stop riding when the lifts aren’t spinning. This high-density design is engineered to stand up to the abuse of pavement, rocks or anything else you can ride.
Skatecore Profiling: We wanted boards that had skate-like turning and feel for locking into rails and easy maneuverability. For this kind of torsional flex, we thin the board’s core profile between the bindings and thicken it under and outside of the bindings for maximum skate like response. The end product is a deck that turns and snaps like a skate deck yet still bosses landings and carves.
