Technology

Triax- Ultra Lightweight High Density Polymer-A NEW advanced Polypropylene formula exclusive to Nordica provides a 25% shell and cuff weight reduction compared to any other high performance or race boot in the  market. TRIAX has a more consistent behavior within a wide range of temperatures and is easily workable by boot fitters.

Full Shock Eraser-Strategically placed foam padding to erase impact on the heel, toe, calves and shin while never effecting boot performance.

Full Traction Soles-Providing the best possible traction for hiking in the backcountry or up to a rail set, or simply just navigating your way around the lodge.

45 Degree Closure-A 45 degree buckle provides maximum heel retention by locking the heel into the rear pocket of the boot while ensuring forefoot comfort and warmth. It also allows for super easy entry and exit of the boot no matter the temperature!

High Traction Canted Sole Parts-For superior traction on hard surfaces and stair treads, we’ve got you covered. Also with our new toe and heel technology Nordica is able to offer a quick canting solution of plus or minus 1 degree for our Hell and Back boots.

Weather Shield-An ALL NEW overlap system integrated into the shell provides a full waterproof feature to prevent water from leaking into the boot. And as we all know, dry feet are warm and comfortable feet!

Dynamic Performance Code-The DPC measures the three performance parameters. STIFFNESS, PROGRESSION, REBOUND. Stiffness measures the amount of force needed to bend the boot forward. The higher the boot stiffness, the higher the transmission of power to the ski. Progression - progression represents the increase in stiffness as the boot is flexed forward from the neutral position to deepest flex point. The bigger progression, the stiffer the boot behaves through the forward flex allowing the most precise load transmission of the ski. Rebound - Rebound measures the rate at which the boot returns to the neutral upright position from the deepest flexing point. The higher the rate of rebound the faster the boot returns, enabling a quicker turn and ski edge change.
