Happy Friday 11/14/25 Getboards Open 10am

Todays Forecast: Rain showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 51. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Rain showers likely before 7pm, then showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 32. South wind 0 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

This Week:

The first wave of our storm has arrived with showers now overspreading the region. Expect a soggy day on Friday under mostly cloudy skies with rain likely. Cool, windy, and wet out there as temperatures reach the upper 40s to lower 50s with south-southwest winds gusting 15-25 mph at times. Our cutoff low will remain stalled offshore through Saturday, slowing drifting to the west, this will allow deeper moisture to arrive Friday night into Saturday, bringing more rain, possibly heavy at times with isolated thunderstorms. The snow level will remain above 9,000 feet through the main duration of this storm, bringing some impressive rainfall totals through the weekend. Total rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are likely in all areas with locally 3-6 inches on the lower coastal slopes, possibly more in the favored, orographically enhanced locations. Residents near and below recent burn scars should stay weather aware and heed all evacuations warnings and/or orders. Temperatures will gradually come down over the weekend as the cold-core center of this low moves east through the area. Highs will drop into the lower 40s by Saturday and Sunday with lows in the 30s. This should allow the snow level to drop near 8,000 feet sometime on Saturday, then down around 7,000 feet on Sunday. So we could still squeeze out a dusting of snow on the tail of this storm, but the heaviest accumulations will remain confined above 9,000 feet where 2-3 feet are possible, i.e., up on San G. This storm will exit the region on Sunday as wrap around moisture and showers decrease. We'll get a short break between storms later Sunday into early Monday ahead of our next storm forecast to arrive later Monday into Tuesday. This will likely be a colder system with the snow level falling as low as 5,000 feet by Tuesday where at least a few inches of snow are possible. Of course, the forecast will be fine-tuned in the coming day, so check back often for updates. If you have travel plans anywhere in SoCal over the next 24-48 hours, be prepared for heavy rainfall and isolated flooding. In the mountains, travel with care, beware of possible mud & debris flows, watch for rocks down on all highways as conditions can and will change rapidly!  So keep those boards waxed, keep praying for snow, and for the love of powder… always carry tire chains! That's it for our daily weather report! Stay tuned for more updates and have a great Friday!
