The S3 skis easier in any snow condition because of its unique design called AmpTek. AmpTek combines traditional and reverse camber to deliver more versatility, rebound, boost and ease-of-use than conventional skis.

The traditional camber underfoot delivers power, energy and edge grip under foot where you need it most. The reverse camber "rocker" at the tip and tail delivers more flotation, easier steering and more forgiveness. The sidecut of the ski uses Rossignol's Reverse sidecut technology, a spatula tip and pin tail with regular sidecut directly under the foot. When skiing powder the 128/98/118 directional sidecut is dominant which is perfect for slashing deep turns. On the piste the110/98/110 sidecut skies like a true twin in the park or landing switch. The S3 also makes a great backcounty Alpine Touring / Tele ski. It is perfect powder tool for backcountry skiers who love skiing the deep. The S3 gives a whole new meaning to one ski quiver. Graphic inspired by Caia Koopman.

The concept is simple, reverse the camber of the board/ski to make it easier to turn, more nimble in the
powder, land smoother and ollie higher.

The Rossignol Freeski range has 3 types of tip offering 3 different usages depending on what you want: (1) POWDER TIP,  (2) FREERIDE TIP and (3) JIB TIP.
POWDER TIP: This tip is wide and raised to allow you to control the ski using the end of the tip: Very effective for all the latest freeride moves (slash turns, butters). The shape also improves float. An excellent anti-sink weapon.

Amptek: Amptek for Amplification Technology. This technology developed by Rossignol for Freeride skis lets you ski on powder without constraint. Skis with the Amptek profile are more lively, have improved float power on powder and allow you to experience new sensations. How does it work? It\'s quite simple: the ski has a rocker at both front and back which gives more lift and improved turn capability on powder. The ski has traditional construction underfoot, with a camber and 18 m turn radius for easier edge-to-edge transition on hard snow, so providing a lot more versatility. Amptek Technology is available on the entire Rossignol Freeride range so that everyone can choose their program depending on what they want (more powder, more rocker - less powder, less rocker)
