Dinosaurs Will Die MAET 2016
Most people associate snowboarding in Alaska with giant mountains and gnarly spines, but Brendon Hupp, Chris Brewster, Chris Larson, and the rest of the Magic Hour Moves crew are setting out to change that. In order to spread the word about the street scene in Alaska, Dinosaurs Will Die decided to plaster the freestyle-favorite Maet Snowboard with sketches drawn by the Magic Hour Moves crew. This jib-focused stick features poppy, yet forgiving Lowrider camber and a soft flex to suit the crew's urban-centric style of snowboarding.
The Maet features a toned-down version of traditional camber profile that offers a more forgiving feel while still retaining the pop, stability, and edge hold you crave from camber. It has a lightweight and lively poplar core with tip-to-tail birch strips running along the inserts that increase strength, prevent blowouts, and enhance pop. Biax glass gives the board a loose feel for buttering and jibbing your way through the rail line, plus the extruded base is easy to repair when you ding it up during a session in the streets.
