Creating a performance jacket for one of the world’s best superpipe riders is no simple task. When the rider in question also happens to be a leader of the freeskiing movement, you bust out the big guns. The CORKED SKI JACKET was engineered to meet the performance requirements of Simon Dumont. Part of the Oakley Pro Rider Series, it’s a tech piece that keeps style on the front burner and turns up the heat on originality, and it serves the athlete that Powder Magazine calls “one of the most important faces in skiing today.”

The man has medaled in superpipe, slopestyle and big air, and all three disciplines demand freedom of movement. We worked closely with Simon to engineer a loose fit with carefully crafted arm articulation. Magnets hold down the open hood when he spins his tricks, and chest vents let him purge the heat of vertical hikes. The hood is detachable, and ditto for the balaclava and storm skirt. That 20K/20K rating you see below is for breathable waterproofing that acts like a one-way street for moisture, keeping precip on the outside while letting sweaty vapors escape. As far as style goes, the CORKED SKI JACKET is way above the common crowd, and that’s only fitting for a guy who launched himself 35 feet above the quarterpipe to set the world record for the highest ski air in 2008.
