This iconic big swallowtail is the perfect board to float through deep pow and big lines without sacrificing the joy of carving early morning groomers. Team riders like Bryan Fox, Marcus Kleveland, Markus Keller, and the rest of the pro team are ripping it in all sorts of conditions, from AK lines and tree runs, all the way to the park!
Characteristics
- Shape: Tapered Swallowtail – Floatation and control even in the deepest stuff. The full width nose and narrower tail of our Tapered Swallowtail shapes make the board float evenly through the fluffiest of pow and cut through the occasional crust, while the deeply cut swallowtail reduces the rearward board surface even more for improved control and reduced rear leg burn.
- Camber: Cam-Out – Fun responsive and forgiving. Our Cam-Out Camber is basically a Trüe Camber with early and smooth transitions into tip and tail. The result is a fun and responsive board that turns on the spot and is forgiving, even after that 713.5° landing!
- Profile: Standard Core Profile – Even flex and control. Like a well-designed bow, the Standard Core Profile has a thicker part in the middle - from first insert to last – while thinning gradually towards the contact points, providing the ultimate in speed stability and edge control.
- Width: Mid-Wide – Exactly enough platform for most boot sizes. Mid-Wide boards provide that little extra in width for less toe and heel drag, additional flotation and that extra bit of confidence when leaning into these power carves on icy slopes.
- Sidecut: Progressive – Powerful turns and a catch-free nose. A larger radius in the front, blended into a tighter one towards the tail: The Progressive Sidecut makes accelerating out of turns a breeze, while maintaining a catch-free nose area.
