75% of Pros'
ride boards that are 90% of their height. Use this
formula to determine what size board is right for
you.
Your Height (inches) X
2.54 X 0.88 =
Your suggested board height in centimeters.
Example: A 5'10 person is 70 inches.
70 X 2.54 X 0.88 = 156.4
The right size board for
this person is about 156cm. Note that you can easily
go up or down at least 5 -8 centimeters depending
on your riding style and preferences.
If your shoe size is 11 or larger, you should choose
a wide board.
*This is only a general guideline when choosing the
right size board. You may choose other size boards
depending on your weight and riding style. Keep in
mind that shorter boards are better for tricks and
spins and longer boards are better for speed, powder
and carving.
