The 2015 Union Contact Pro is Gigi Ruf's high tech pro model snowboard binding and this year sees tons of great new features to this award winning binding, promoting true board flex for an incredible ride that can't be matched.
Specially designed for the contact pro is the super-light Duraflex baseplate designed for hammering through any and all conditions be it the park or an Alaskan pow line. This year sees the introduction of the Multi density Full Bottom Bushing System that reduces the contact with the board down to just 5% and provides incredible dampening on heavy impacts. Slightly stiffer EVA padding has been placed on the outside of the binding to stop your foot rolling, while softer padding on the inside helps with presses and tweaks. All slightly lifted off the base to allow the board to flex freely giving a much better response, feel and natural canting.
The 3D CNC machined aluminium heelcups are milled to remove all excess weight without compromising on strength. Both the heelcup and baseplate come with an amazing lifetime warranty if it breaks while your riding! Union's Shift-on-the-fly forward lean adjustment allows you to mellow out your binding when getting to the top of the mountain and let rip when you get there. The Asymmetrical Contact Pro highbacks give a much more relaxed and comfortable fit and take some of the pressure off of your knees to reduce fatigue and keep you riding longer.
Improved high strength magnesium buckles on this years model give an even smoother locking/unlocking system while the 3D moulded heel straps make for a super comfy ride all day long. The Contact Pro uses Union's universal Mini-Disks for mounting onto Burton ICS boards or standard 4 hole boards right out of the box.
