This is one ski that can speak for itself. If you are
seriously looking at twin-tips, then you already know
about the 1080. We're not gonna mention that it's been
the best selling twin-tip ski for the last 3 years.
We're really not gonna mention that it was really the
first twin-tip ski made available to the public. And
there is no way that we're gonna mention that this ski
has been ridden by more pro riders than any other ski
in history.
Salomon made the 1080 to have more flex in the front
of the ski for cleaner push-offs, and a dynamic powerful
tail for smooth landings. It features Single wall Monocoque
Lite construction for a true self carrying structure
for effortless edge grip. The 1080 also has a Dynamic
Extended Power platform which transmits your skiing
effort with the maximum liveliness.

Customer Reviews:
If you are into free skiing then these are the skis
for you guys. I bought them at the midseason release
in 00 and i've used em everytime ever since. If you
want some serious skis that are wide enough to ski pow
pow and solid enough to turn and burn and twin tipped
so you can ski fakie, there is no question in my mind.
Even if you dont want to do inverts and do jumps fakie
these are very solid skis that respond very very well
in the turns and powder. i like em, I used to have the
X-Scream 9 series skis and i loved em but these are
one step beyond. Absolutely amazing skis.

I guarantee you will be able to do a misty 720 if you
buy these skis! Well actually I don't, but if you get
these skis you will feel like you could do it! The future
of skiing is in the snowboard park and terrain parks
all over the world, and the 1080s are leading the way.
These were the first twin tip skis on the market, and
they are still the best. When I say twin tip, I mean
you can ski regular, or ski backwards. This is great
for practicing tricks in the park or the pipe. I have
both the 1080s and the X-Screams, and suprisingly there
is little difference. Both are made of the same material,
but the 1080s have a little softer tail, for the obvious
reason of the twin tip. But other than the obvious length
difference these skis are virtually the same. Granted
these won't ski on ice as well as others, but you aren't
buying these skis to ski on ice or powder, you are buying
these skis to do tricks. ANd you definitely can do a
lot of tricks with these skis. This is where the future
of skiing is going, so get on the bandwagon!
