Freebord is the most effective snowboard cross-trainer you can buy. No other product simulates snowboarding so completely. Freebord carves and slides exactly like a snowboard so it teaches and reinforces the weighting and edging skills needed on the snow. You can hug a tight turn or drift a long slide; set an edge to drop speed or float into fakie.

1 year warranty on all product!

FEATURES:
Release the shackles of snow and skip the ski resorts, now you can get your carving fix year-round, the Freebord Allows you to hug a tight turn or drift a long, gentle slide; rotate the board into fakie or a 360 on the street as you would on the snow At the heart of the design are two spring-biased casters that can swivel 360-degrees; these inner wheels simulate a snowboard's base Outer four wheels simulate a snowboard's edges--by keeping weight over the board's edges you can carve turns Slide turns to drop speed just as you would on a snowboard; with practice, you can navigate the steepest of streets Adjust the board to fit your riding style--the center wheels can be raised or lowered and the trucks can be loosened or tightened Bonus: retract the center wheels or remove them completely and the Freebord can be ridden as a conventional longboard Concave board design and griptaped deck make bindings unnecessary--you'll have sufficient lateral control for most general riding.

Will Freebord improve my snowboarding?
Definitely. Freebord carves and slides exactly like a snowboard so it teaches and reinforces the weighting and edging skills needed on the snow. Freebord is also an excellent tool for learning how to snowboard in advance of ever hitting the slopes--saving you those first few days of brutal falls.

How does Freebord work?
Freebord's simulation of snowboarding is the result of several years of mechanical development and prototypes. The two center wheels function as the base of a snowboard and allow motion in all directions. The outer four wheels function as a snowboard's edges and sit slightly off the ground. The result is that you can selectively apply your weight to your edges or your base, determining whether to carve or slide or any combination of those two motions.

Is it difficult to Freebord? Does it take long to learn?
The learning curve varies rider by rider. While some are throwing slides within minutes, most require 1-3 hours to start to feel comfortable. Prior experience in other boardsports, particularly snowboarding, speeds the learning process.

Can I use my Freebord as a conventional longboard?
Freebord is designed for going downhill but it can be modified in minutes to ride like a conventional longboard by either retracting the center wheels or removing them completely.

Do I need bindings? It is recommend to get either the s1 or s2 bindings. Bindings give you more control overall. These bindings do not lock you into the board, so you can jump off at anytime.

Is Freebord dangerous? Can I "catch an edge"?
A Freebord is no more or less dangerous than any other boardsport . As with other boardsports, the danger factor depends entirely on the caution used by the rider. You can catch an edge on a Freebord but because you are not strapped to the board you are free to step off the board and run it out. Beginning Freeborders step on and off the board frequently but rarely fall to the pavement. Of course, we recommend that all riders wear a helmet and knee, wrist and elbow pads.
