Maet collabs with Dave this year for this soft flex camber board with graphic that’ll definitely split opinions.
Flex: It’s a slightly stiffer mid flexing twin park board which makes it a bit more versatile.
Stability: Taking traditional camber adding it to a mid wide shape and coupling it with a poplar core with birch strips made it highly stable.
Ollies: The lower rise of the tips helps with getting snap when you go to pop off or onto a feature. Add to that the snap of traditional camber and you know you can boost.
Pop On Jumps: This board can send a jump with ease. The mid wide profile gives more surface area for setting up to boost.
Butterability: The lessened tip kick is interesting for buttering. You can leverage onto it with less work than a more upright kick. This makes buttering a bit easier but due to the flex pattern and the fact this is regular camber you still have to work for it.
Jibbing: The wider shape gives more surface area to press into. This helps with locking into nose and tail presses as well as in board slides. The flex and camber do make you earn those presses, but when you do it feels so good.
Carving: You can rail a turn on this sidecut with ease. Locking into a hard carve just feels natural as the camber grips the snow. Whether doing tight turns or long drawn out ones the sidecut never faltered.
Rider in Mind: The all around freestyle rider that might have a bigger foot or wants a wider surface area. It’s the same person that’s spending as much time on jumps as jibs but isn’t afraid to venture out onto the mountain to have some fun.
