What Does it Do?- Modern shaped skis are more responsive and easier to turn than old style long, “straight skis”. Modern skis respond to very subtle and precise changes in angulations, edge pressure, and steering forces. Modern shaped skis are more dynamic than old style skis, requiring a ski boot that has strong side-to-side stability along with smooth and progressive flexibility in the forward direction. How Does it Function?-Cabrio Design permits the use of stiffer and more rigid plastics in the lower shell. This strengthens the support around the foot and lower leg providing quick response and precise transfer of power to the ski edges. This design also prevents the lower shell from distorting and bulging as the boot flexes, making the boot more smooth and stable at high speeds and on irregular terrain. Smooth and progressive forward flex is precisely controlled using an external shell tongue.
Changing dynamic flex and performance is controlled by simply changing tongue material and geometry, or by limiting the forward movement of the boot cuff with the flex adjustment mechanism. Only Cabrio Design ski boots feature such rigid and precise lateral support while at the same time providing a smooth and progressive flex. Cabrio Design technology also has a greater degree of fitting versatility than traditional ski boots . Rocker Stance allows skiers of all stripes to take full advantage of their equipment by centering their body mass over the sweet spot of their skis for more power and control with less effort. What Does it Do?-Contour 4 Technology models fit a wide variety of feet shapes. ‘4” pre-formed “contours” in the bootshell provide additional space for protruding ankle bones, navicular bones, and metatarsal bones. What is It?-Contour 4 Technology is a revolutionary technological advance in performance ski boot fitting. It is a engineered construction technology that precisely aligns the internal boot-shell shape and innerboot contours with the anatomical contours of the foot and ankle.
How Does it Function?-The anatomical contours of the inside sidewalls of the boot-shell, as well as the innerboot lasts, are precisely “mapped” to the shape of the typical high performance skier’s foot. A little extra “space” is molded into the inside of the boot shell at 4 critical fit points: ankle, heel, 5th metatarsal, & navicular. Out of the box, Contour 4 Technology boots delivers all the comfort, precision, and control of a close fitting, low volume, high performance ski boots that have been “punched” and/or “stretched” by a custom bootfitter........with minimal need for “punching” or “stretching”. Adjustable Flex-Thanks modular insert to be applied between shell and cuff, you will get 3 different degrees of flexion
Adjustable Forward Lean-To change KR2 forward inclination angle, FORWARD LEAN control wedges may be insert at boot rear between lower shell and cuff. Wedges are secured to rear shell with a 3mm Hex Head Screw. Two different FL inserts: Inclination Angles:
